Welcome to DONE

What this practice is, who it's for, and what you can expect to read here.

DONE is a specialised consultancy at the intersection of traditional legal practice and the on-chain economy. It is built for two groups of clients who have, until now, struggled to find a lawyer who speaks their language.

The two clients we built this for

The first is the crypto user. They’ve been in the space for years. They understand wallets, custody, swaps, staking. They are — quite reasonably — tired of explaining all of that to a lawyer who bills them to learn it.

The second is the founder. Building a token, a protocol, an exchange, a DAO — and discovering that the legal and tax stack has not caught up with what they’re shipping. MiCA changed a lot. The next AML package will change more.

What we publish here

This Insights section will be a working notebook. Short pieces on:

  • How Latvian and EU rules apply to common crypto situations
  • Tax positions worth reviewing before year-end
  • MiCA and CASP authorisation milestones
  • Structuring patterns that have worked — and ones that haven’t
  • Things we wish more clients knew before they signed something

Nothing on this site is legal or tax advice. It’s the public-facing version of conversations we have every week, sanitised and shared.

If a topic in your situation is missing here, send a note. The questions our clients ask shape what gets written.
